“I was first introduced to Melanie when I was fostering a large male Bulldog as I needed a ‘trustworthy special someone’ to walk him during the day. The dog came from a loving home but they were unable to care for him, so by the time I became involved he was not in the best of health. He had so much love in him and was the biggest softie but sadly, had little discipline during his early years. As the weeks went by it became clear he was missing his family and this was displayed by him being withdrawn and somewhat depressed.
I needed someone who was empathetic, who could really connect with him and also have the patience of a saint. This person was undoubtedly, Melanie.
After each walk I would get a text letting me know how he was during the walk and any issues that may have arisen. Melanie was always giving the dog encouragement whilst being firm enough to make him realise he needed to learn some manners.
It was a slow process but with Melanie’s help, kind nature and excellent knowledge, his life was enriched. I often find that people with a true connection to animals are not always the most interactive with people. Whatever kind of dog you have, but especially if you have a sensitive dog, or are simply looking for someone who puts your dog first and will love them as much as you do, then I cannot recommend Melanie enough. ”
